GAYLORD -- The Sault High boys track team finished fourth in the seven team field at the Herald Times Relay Invitational over the weekend.
The Sault totaled 48 points at the meet, finishing behind winner Petoskey which had 90.
Cheboygan was second with 58, and Gaylord was next with 57. Kalkaska was fifth with 42, while Harrison and Roscommon were sixth and seventh with 19 and 18, respectively.
The Sault got wins in the long jump as Marc McDonough and Matt Labron combined for 39-6.5, and the discus, where Brant Harris and Matt Arnold teamed up for a total score of 257-11.5.
Arnold then teamed with Rob Pawley for a second place finish in the shot put (85-8). The Sault also took two thirds as the 400-meter relay team of Matt Pietrangelo, Neal McLeod, Perry Pingatore, and McDonough ran it in 46.0. The other third came from the 2400 relay team of Steve Hank, Craig Cooper, Peter Duesing, and McLeod. They were timed at 6:12.5.
