The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation ran away with $64,000 Sunday in Sault Ste. Marie's ninth annual CIBC Run for the Cure.
Nearly 460 participants ran, skipped or walked their way from the Roberta Bondar Pavilion along the boardwalk to the Sault Ste. Marie canal and returned for an awards ceremony, which honoured various schools, organizations and individuals.
Glenda Hubley finished the run in just over 24 minutes, placing first in the breast cancer survivor category.
Sherri Smith's time of 17 minutes and 25 seconds won her first place in the women's division while Johnathon Dellavedova hit the finish line in 17 minutes and 34 seconds, making him the men's division champ.
Next year's run is scheduled for Oct. 5.
