Athlete's Foot FIT FEST Run & Walk Sat. 23 Sept. 2000 5km & 10km road race. Applications are available at the Athlete's Foot in the Station Mall and the YMCA. Great Prizes and a great Fall training event for your half marathon and marathon goal. Special thanks to Doug & Sue Richardson, Tricia Cameron, John Chow, Al Suraci, Richard Adam for organizing this fall event. See you at the Kinsmen Park that day.
5th Annual 5KM THANKSGIVING DAY RUN TURKEY TROT, Monday 9 Oct. 2000. Contact Denis Lefave 946-2377 or the Algoma Lung Association 256-2335 for more details.
CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday 1 October is one in which the Stryders will have a higher profile. I need volunteers to help out. Thanks to Raija Gordon and Cheryl Palazzi, two club members who are involved with this well worth while cause. Contact any CIBC branch for details of the event.
Special Thanks to Ray Stortini for hosting The St. Joseph Island Annual Run/Walk on Saturday 19 August. This annual run keeps getting bigger and is one of the two premier runs of the summer months. Special thanks to Ray & Mary Kay for extending their hospitality for runners and families to attend a post race get together at their home. Thanks to the cooks and helpers: Doug Booth, Richard Wood, Ray Yukich, Linda and Grady Hess. By the way I got Rick to the church on time for his wedding only after he cooked sausages for the gang. Talk about dedication!

the 2nd Annual Great Lakes Half Marathon, 5K &10K
which took place on Sat. 10 June 2000. Mike Walz,
