Barbara McLeod ran 49.47 km in the allotted 6 hours and finished 34th out of 45 runners. She was the 8th female out of 11 finishers and placed first in the 60 and over category. The winning distance was 72 km by John Remington of Etobicoke, Ontario. The race was run on a one kilometre loop around the scenic grounds of Canada's Royal Military College and through the interior of old Fort Frederick. The starting temperature was 13C and reached a high of about 23C.
