The conditions were good considering the event had to be postponed one week. On Nov 15, the original date, the trails were snow covered and very icey in places. The temperature stayed beween 0 and 2 C with cloudy skies and a 15 km/h wind. The trails were wet and muddy in places with a number of branches down from the recent high winds.
Dan Puddister and Mario Festival were the only starters. They ran together the entire race until the end when Mario pulled away to try to get under 4:20. Anthony Fiaconni and Robert Mears ran two laps (26K).
The course consisted of a 2 Km loop followed by four 12 Km loops of the Crystal trail system including all the extensions. The lap times were 9:50, 58:57, 61:45, 62:09, 66:41. The marathon distance was reached around 3:33.

The Crystal 100
The Crystal 100 is the combined time from the Crystal 50 ski race in the spring and the Crystal 50 running race in the fall. Mario Festival was the only finisher with a time of 7:48:00 (ski - 3:28:30, run - 4:19:30).
